Amitabh Bachchan reads the Holy Quran
Mumbai: Indian legendary film superstar Amitabh Bachchan is reading the Islamic holy book, the Quran, nowadays. Amitabh Bachchan’s extended twitter family suggested him to read the holy Quran.
“A member of TwFmXt here asked me to read the Koran, for peace and tranquility, for the essence of life.. I did..” Amitabh revealed on his Twitter page.
The superstar even quoted a few verses from the holy book.
“God changes not what is in a people, until they change what is in themselves ” Koran ( 7th century ), Sura 13, v. 11” wrote the 69-year-old actor.
He later added another verse “Walk not on the earth exultantly, for thou canst not cleave the earth, neither shalt thou reach to the mountains in height- Koran.
However, when someone pointed out that the spelling of the holy book should be Quran, Amitabh Bachchan did not hesitate to apologize.
“Correction: QURAN and not KORAN!… however the book I was reading from had it as KORAN so I mentioned it so..apologies!!” the superstar wrote.

what is the use of reading quran when the person himeself is not a muslim.its like hearing one thing from one ear and taking it out from the other.
Alot of non muslims have embraced Islam after reading the holy quran. Lets hope the Big B also joins the list.
Taha Abbasi – that’s what the beauty of the message quran conveys, don’t forget there were sahabi like Hazrat Farooq (raa) used to read quran in disguise when he was non-muslim and gradually it did effect in his heart and alhamdulillah he became muslim.. reading is the first thing and then understanding it and then Allah will get your hearts inclined towards it if He wills as He sees the true/pure intention…
Good to know that people are slowly inclined towards the ‘truth’, no doubt “falsehood will vanish and truth will come as falsehood as bound to vanish”
mr. taha abbasi–> this is the most absurdest commmmment I have ever read! I mean how many so-called muslims read Quran anyway? And don’t you think it is a good sign that a non-muslim is reading it by himself? Don’t you think it will enlighten him? may be he’ll convert as well..
Every Human being has the right to read and take guidelines form the Holy Quran. This Holy Book is for every one.
If we so called muslims never taks the guide line it is our fault.

Ofcourse reading the Holy Qur’an and accepting corrections from it is indeed a clear indication that success will surely be the outcome. Beside, Qur’an is a true guidance, a clear evidence that enable us see and distinguish between right and wrong! Its a straight path on which the truth is well established. A GUIDELINE INDEED!!! REMEMBER; LIGHT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH DARKNESS…

first of all i would like to appreciate the effort of my brother who asked mr.Bachan to read the quran, well if ALMIGHTY ALLAH wills definately he will get hidaya our duty is to convey the message and leave the rest to ALLAH.

Qur’an leads people out of darkness into light. Darkness is all around us. So, What are you waiting for? Open It & “Iqra”, Read!

Dont fight or confuse someone by such trifle issues whether Quran or Koran. New entrants will be confused. Please note that both are just translation of the word Quran in Arabic which cant be pronounced by substitutind Q or K for actual pronunciation of ‘Kaff” in Arabic. Isint

Amit’s experiment with the Quran was the subject of my discussion with friends in Delhi, last week. As interesting as the subject is, I feel it is an opportunity to remind ourselves that while non-muslims are peeping into Islam and discovering the light therein, we (muslims) are not truly taking advantage of the bounties (ni’imah) bestowed on us by Allah subhana wa ta’ala. I suggest we take deliberate steps IMMEDIATELY (today) to re-awaken ourselves. So, what additional steps will you take to improve yourself? Fast mondays and thursdays; thrice a month, once a month? Or simply resume any act of ibadat that you may have abandoned. May Allah continue to guide and protect us, ameen.

i hope that he won’t be like donkey carring some load of books. I mean if he really reads the holy Quran & follows what quran teaches he’ll definately accept it.
look at the miracle of the holy Quran.Even the non-muslims become embarrassed islam.If you have not a peace of mind if you are under tension and if you are not aware of the fact for which the human beings are created so pls dont waste time and recite the holy quran.
yeah its really a good news,but its not all about accepting Islam by some one,Allah give a chance to every person in this world to chose the right and accurate way of living and for guidance sent messangers and books,here the thing on which we should have focused is that what acutally we are in real,we born as a muslim but i think its not enough to get an opportunity to go to heaven we should more alot to do become a good muslim..it needs to change the mind set of whole muslim community in this globel village..
